| Re: CHKDSK cannot check C: Drive on bootup (XP) God some good new and some bad news. Bad news: AUTOCHK still wont check C: drive on bootup. Good news: Running chkdsk in XP on C: does not detect errors anymore, since I ghosted C: drive to another HDD. When I used Partition Magic to resize the old HDD's partitions, it detected there was a problem with C: and asked if I wanted to format it. So it appears that CHKDSK was reporting errors due to a partition problem (possibly caused by the installation of Vista) But year, AUTOCHK still wont check C: Drive

| Re: CHKDSK cannot check C: Drive on bootup (XP) It works now! lol Before it happened, I did this: Uninstalled the onboard audio drivers in XP Rebooted and disabled onboard audio in the BIOS Powered the PC off. Remove TV Tuner card and Installed a new PCI Soundcard, then booted up. For some reason, the BIOS had a winge about my overclock, so I defaulted the speed from 3.2GHz back to 2.67GHz and booted up. Then suddenly chkdsk checked C: drive. Now it works all the time. All the software is exactly the same (except for the audio drivers). Dont ask me what fixed it, I cant figure it out lol
