Question Evaluation Period Expires

Just got notified that evaluation period epired and that I should purchase a retail version. Was running RC2....anyway round this ?. I really don't want to go back to w2k...good as it has been.

That was a quick 6 months you must have changed the settings in your bios. You can upgrade over the top of the existing installation or do a fresh install. That's the only suggestion I can give you. Upgrades work pretty well with xp. I've done it 3 times in the last 2 weeks due to motherboard changes and I've seen no drop in performance. Also I've never had to call Microsoft to reactivate.

Thumbs up Got it Fixed

I had cleared the bios following an o/c attempt. Changed the date from 01/01/2001 or whatever. Reset the date in bios and reinstalled only to find that I had activated/registered to many times. Had to fdisk and reinstall then cal for reactivation key...........42 numbers. Holy ******. Took me no time to do it but the fooling around with reinstalling etc was a total pain. No more o/c'ing till the final version is released.
