Win XP-CUSL-2 BIOS?

Hi, I installed the Beta 2 XP when I had BIOS 1003. I now have BIOS 1007(final),running Win ME (sucks) no problems. I'm awaiting RC-1 and RC2 (WPP), my ? is, when I had Beta 2, my machine had an ACPI error, MS indicated it was the BIOS. XP would shutdown, no scandisk on reboot, but the machine wouldn't power off. It just stuck on the "...now safe to shut off..." screen. I'm wondering if in fact it was the BIOS, or just that XP was Beta-2? Anyone who uses RC-1 or later, what BIOS do you use, and do you have this problem?
Also, although Hibernate and Suspend did work, the USB mouse and or keyboard would wake the machine, then cease to function! Anyone know if this was just XP or the CUSL-2 BIOS version?
NOTE: When I had Win 2K installed, the above were not an issue.
Thanx in advance for any insight,
Mike G
