These are common signs of infection—but they might also indicate hardware or software problems that have nothing to do with a virus. Unless you run the Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool and install industry-standard, up-to-date antivirus software on your computer, there is no way to be certain if your computer is infected with a virus or not. Seems that some time ago, there was one that REPLICATED at a rapid rate, which in time would cause the ability of a NONE BOOTABLE partition.

also if you use AVAST AV... there is a part of it that (grows quite fast) do not remember exactly where but under AVAST... I used a special bat file to remove when I used AVAST... to keep from growing..
