Dreamscenes in Home Premium. I'll explain!

Happy new Year! Just took my Dell box back to factory settings. Installed SP1. Thanks Snuffy! All is REALLY PERFECT. EXCEPT. I cannot find the 'program' that allowed me to make .mpg files work. Any HELP please? I have a beautiful lake scene I would LOVE to use again. THANKS!

Simply set as background with AERO enabled.

mpeg and wmv

Pluses-there are some nice movies out there already designed to work as a dream scene, and Stardock.com is releasing free software to let you make your own, etc

Thanks! I hate to seem dumb, BUT how do I set as background. There are only pic options in the dropdown even in Aero. Help? Thanks!

Wink

Find what you want as your background,
right click and save as background.
or you can also copy/paste it into the same location as the default backgrounds. Then when you reboot it will also be an option to use.

any way that is the case here on my end.

That's what I have been trying to figure out. How are you doing Dreamsceens, or are they actual MS Dreamsceens, with Premium? Do you think the Dreamsceens slow your machine noticeably?

No slow down at all, but I have 4 GB of RAM. I had a program/registry insert that made them work in Home Premium, but lost it when it re-formatted. Any help out there? Thanks!!!!
