| flv files from hardrive Where do streaming media files go on Vista Home Premium edition ??? On Windows XP Professional in work (the drive is formatted to C & D drives) if I play a youtube file for example it streams to D:\Documents and Settings\works ID\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files. The file is usually named GETVIDEO. From here I copy it to a new location and rename it with a flv extension. On my friends XP system in Explorer you can go: tools/Internet Options/settings/view files you can grab the new media file from here Please don’t mention download clients as I prefer to grab the files manually from the hardrive |

| If your the Admin you find under Admin name\download if your a user you find under public\download or user\download normally the last place you saved something is the next default download spot, unless you use a Download manager then you speciify the Default download spot. (but if you watch carefully, just before you click SAVE,(you can see the spot it is saving too.) or you can click Save as and specify the spot, or rename it and where too. Which I usually do, like H:\FLV, or D:\MyStuff or E:\Vista or E:\Vista SP1 or F:\Movies G:\Office or you get the idea.

| I know what he's talking about its the folder where all the cached temporary internet files are stored not the folder that downloaded files generally are stored You can click Tools > Internet Options > Browsing History > View Files OR You can access the folder using this path C:\Users\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files Hope this helps. |
