| Help!! My Freakin Girlfriend!!!!... So, my girlfriend swears she was parked outside of my apartment and could see me at my computer ignoring her phonecall, when I was actually in the shower. She says I'm on the comp too much and blah blah and got really ****** since she had been calling earlier and couldnt get me. Is there a way I can look at my system and show when i was logged in or out or whatever I could do to show that I was on my computer between 915 pm and 930 pm EST...She was really upset and we argued for thirty minutes about this and I would love to prove her wrong!!! Thanks |

| It would be very difficult to prove her wrong because you want to show her information that's not available on your PC. Since, according to your post, you were not using your PC between certain hours, there would be nothing to show her. Anyone can manipulate computer files and can add or delete their steps to fool anybody, except experts with special software of course. not just that, but trying to show people they are wrong, sometimes it can produce the opposite result. |

| Well I have a toshiba laptop....it was in hibernate or sleep mode or something I'm sure. Not completely off. As far as backfiring, I wouldnt present said evidence if it werent surefire. Maybe I should consult a forensics website. |

| You can!  If it was off there is a logging system which details the time you switched to a dfferent state!  I am not at my PC right now but it is within adminstration tools :scared: Hope you win!  crabby |

| Greetings... A very simple way would be to search by file creation date - Any file created or saved - would show that there was SOME activity - But I think this is really a problem of - What do you say to a female with 2 black eyes? - Nothing, you've already told her twice... |
