| Good day everyone, I am running Vista Ulimate 64 and upgraded my system to 8 Gig. I created a 3 gig Ram Disk and put the pagefile which is 1 Gig, the temp files and temp internet files on it. The system runs really good now and I can even play Crysis with all eye candy turned up to very high and it plays smooth for me. I had the image file for the RAM disk on a single drive and the boot time from post was just over two minutes. I moved the RAM Disk image file to a partition on the striped raid and now the boot time from post is just under 1 minute which I can live with. Not enough time to run and get a coffee. I was wondering if there are any other items I can direct to the RAM Disk? I am planning to reconfigure the RAM disk to 4 Gig, increase the pagefile to 1.5 Gig and leave the rest for temp information. I was thinking about the print spooler but I am not exactly sure where to find it in Vista. Any ideas and instructions are appreciated. Thanks |

| Re: Items on a RAM Disk... Good Evening, Well I figured out the print spooler and redirected it to the RAM Disk, now printing just flys. If anybody has any ideas of what else can be redirected to the RAM Disk, the information would be appreciated. Have a good one. |
