| One of the automatic downloads changed the security settings automatically on the one system running on VISTA. If you are the administrator of your home network, follow this procedure: 1. On a different computer on the network, log on to the home networking page and log in as administrator. Print out the wireless security settings. Also, using a thumb, ensure that you have the correct network settings for your home network. 2. Go to the computer using Vista. Change the type of connection to shared and reset the transmit channel, security and WEP key. 3. Alternatively, you can use the Network Wizard by choosing repair and when the option to reset wireless security pops up, enter the information. Either method should work. Then, turn off automatic downloading on that system. |
