| Re: Please help!!! fairly soon after you first turn it on it will say somewhere on the screen it will say something similar to press Delete for setup (or F8 or F12 or whatever). press that key to go to the BIOS. but if you don't have the experience to do that you should probably find someone local to your area to help you in person. |

| Re: Please help!!! What model computer do you have? Knowing that might narrow down what keystroke is required to enter the BIOS.

| Before you deleted the OS did you ever boot from the DVD or CD drive? You have two drives? One a DVD drive and another a CD drive? (BIOS settings don't change just because something on a hard disk gets deleted) ![]() |

| Re: Please help!!! Does your bios recognize the cd/dvd drive? If you've problems with the speed of the messages coming on the screen at boot time, push on [Shift] and [PrtScrn] keys (while maintaining both keys pushed down). If you can see your cd/dvd, reboot, press [delete] or [F1] or something else (you shoud see which key on your display and in you motheboard's manual). Then you'll enter automatically into the BIOS, and you should look to something like boot drive and change the order there: first cd/dvd, then HD). |

| Re: Please help!!! Since you have a Dell System, hit the F2 key when yer booting up, that should take you into the BIOS and if it does, see if the DVD is recongized and if it is, make the DVD drive first in boot.............

Do as RoadStar suggests. You must enter the BIOS when you first turn the computer on. If your DELL uses the F2 key for the BIOS then press it and take a look. If not, then you will have to look in the Users Manual for your computer or call DELL tech support for the correct key to press to enter the BIOS. Let us know when you access the BIOS and we can then help you further. ![]() | |
