| Start Window Opening, And Opening, And Opening..... I've just had to send my brand new..... Toshiba A135-S4417 laptop to Toshiba because the hard drive died! Not happy here. I am re-installing everyting and all of the little quirks that I did manage to work out 4 months ago are back! One that is really annoying is when I use the touchpad and click on an item, the START menu opens up. When I'm in a program; when I'm opening email; when I'm clicking "o.k." just about everytime and I'm just about to pull out my hair or someone elses! PLEASE, PLEASE HELP!!!!! |

| Can't think of anything that would be causing the issue. You may try uninstalling the the device (mouse) and restarting Windows. Right-click Computer > Properties > Device Manager > Click mice and other pointing devices > Right-click the device and select uninstall. If you have problems restarting the PC, because of uninstalling the mouse, use the Windows Key > Tab > Right Arrow to get to the Restart option. Once it restarts, windows will reinstall the device. |

| This also sounds like (different programs which are interacting with ea other). Sample: different versions of ROXIO and NERO and Cybermedia DVD if not install in the correct order, can cause a LOOP which restarts -> restarts-> . recommend he DL and install BelArc (free) run the program-> save the info in .txt format. Remove the KEYS or SN's used to install with. then [post info so we can see what programs might be linked or locked. 2. Have you ran a FULL disk diagnostic on this HD. to see if it has any BAD SECTORS. (many manufactures do replace with REFURB'd HD's - which mean BAD SECTORS are hidden.) common practice in todays world of POOR or NO ETHICS .
