| For the most part I am enjoying using Vista at this point but it is not still without it's bugs. Here's my weird one: My screensaver will intermittently reset itself to come on in one minute. (Yes, I use a screensaver because it is a custom one with pictures of my friends and family.) Anyway, I will manually set the screensaver to come on at the 15 minute mark and for a while it will remain there but then out of the blue it will reset itself to come on at one minute again. I've narrowed it down to occurring after watching video files with VLC Media Player and am wondering if any of you think it might be a bug in Vista or a bug in VLC (of which I have tried several different versions). So, have any of you ever heard of or experienced such weirdness? ![]() |

| Re: Very Odd Vista Problem... First I've heard of it and I've been using Vista for a very long time, with VLC. Have you tried trying a different version of VLC?

| that actually did happen to me once...just figured it was a weird quirk or maybe I did not set up my screen saver...I have my screen saver set to the 10 minute mark and one day after about an hour of me being away from my computer I returned to find the screen saver not on...I checked my settings and saw that it was set to 'None' never happened again after that one time though...I don't use VLC player so that was not the issue for me

| Re: Very Odd Vista Problem... Yeah, I hate that, it's like he has no opinion of his own. Though it might be better than someone who argues with everyone, disagrees with them, calls them liars or just plain stupid, and demands to see some sort of published proof to back up every single statement. |

| Re: Very Odd Vista Problem... I agree----to agree..... Seriously----the only weird power save setting that has happened to me in vista was after a set of Microsoft Tuesday downloads about 3-4 months ago.... My screen would go to sleep at the correct time setting But a mouse or keyboard move would take like a minute and a half before the darn screen "woke up" I did a Disk Cleanup----reset the settings----but it still happened----for about two weeks..... Then----all of a sudden----the whole problem vanished.... Weird
