![]() man oh man,,,, what "power user" doesn't use ztree or a similar product to "file manage" ? ![]() i cringe when i read that users who are otherwise very knowledgeable actually use the o/s's built in search functions. and what power user doesn't know where everything is ? i know where anything on my hard drives is. (yes, regardless of how many terabytes of data we speak of) searching and especially indexing is a joke. indexing is so passe. how can power users even stand the "skinned" feel of a windows file manager ? ie: windows explorer. i can not stand it. i like and prefer and use (and wouldn't have it any other way. EVER!! when ztree dies so does my computing*) the "naked" feel of a dos-like environment. that way it feels as if i'm right on top of the disc drive itself. with any windows app it's as if i'm on a layer first and not on the disc surface. anyway...... * maybe | |
