Watch, in like 5 years or so when Vienna will soon come out, we'd be having scores in the double digits.

I was curious what the score was base on, so I did a bit of research and came across this
Windows Vista Team Blog : Windows Experience Index: An In-Depth Look

will like to see what the standard will be later ?? One thing for sure, will not be cheap to have a high score….

Here's mine although I'm interested to see that chuckbam scored higher with a very close system although they have an extra 2GB and are running 64-bit. I do have another 2GB sitting around but am testing my uptime due to some power issues I've been having. I can't go 64-bit due to one piece of external hardware that doesn't have drivers available.

I got a 5.3 with the lowest number(5.3) attributed to my really crappy E6600 Core duo 2.4 gig.
My 150gig Raptor scored a 5.9!

Didn't realize the Dual-channel option with my two 1gig sticks.
I moved one of them for dual channel operation and went from 5.4 to a 5.6 mem score.

Cool.

Aint that the truth.....

Heck----my brand new 965 board shuts completely off after a BIOS save----then miraculously starts back up from the turned off state.....

Scared me to death first time it did it....

Yeah, that would scare me too.

I have had my CUSL2 for so long, 6 years, that I pretty much forgot how to tweak a system. I joined this forum a few weeks after buying that board.
I am going to miss it. I seriously doubt I will be using this brand new machine 6 years from now. The CUSL2 is still running pretty strong, one of my biggest reasons for upgrading was the dust and gunk that has built up on the components is pretty much permanent, I tried to get it off when temps started climbing a few months ago......talk about industrial coatings!

I decided my time was worth more.

In the end, I really dig Vista.
