| AVG Anti Virus; Anyone know what is going on at this site? I just downloaded and installed the latest version of their free AV program and I have tried 3 times to register with my user name and a password they have provided. And each time I receive a message saying my user name and password will not work. After the first failure, I sent them my e-mail address saying that I have forgotten my password and they will send me a new one, but that has the same results. If it's this much trouble just to register this product, I can only imagine what headaches lie ahead??? I thought this was a highly recommended product and this is why I chose to use it. But after all this, I'm having my doubts. Any suggestions?    gtirr |

| Register? I don't remember doing anything about registering. I've been running AVG Free for about a year now. Updated to 7.5 about a week ago. Never had a problem. Forget about registering. I think that's only if you pay them for a product. | Their site was probably having issues, don't think bad about them...

| Thanks guys for the responses. Believe me, I don't think bad of them as I've seen nothing but positive comments from many members on this forum. It just kind of frustrated me over the weekend after I installed the software. So I can assume that I don't have to register? gtirr |

| I didn't and I don't think it asked me. Are you sure you got the free version? AVG Free Advisor: Free anti-virus, anti-spyware and anti-malware tools
