Exclamation Price Watch Prompt for password?

Yesterday while accessing Pricewatch.com I was prompted for a login/password? It prompted me while clicking a particular item. This has never happened before as I recall. Was I being attacked? I'll be running Adaware/Spybot/Spywareblaster, GDC.com. I'm currently using Sygate for the firewall, AVG Free version antivirus and Prevx Intrusion protection. I had SPI turned off to access my work VPN, however I've since turned it on.

I would like to forward port 113 as it was identified as being closed but failed the GDC.com test. I know there was a post on this recommendation but I don't know how to forward it. I'm using a 3Com router.

Any information would be appreciated.

For 3Com port forwarding, try the instructions at this address:

http://www.portforward.com/english/r...mIRC_IDENT.htm

As for the Pricewatch question: I don't know, as I don't use pricewatch. But, you are handling it just the way you should. (And, for other readers not aware of this..) Unsolicited requests for password should not be responded to, even if you are at a site where you occasionally have to provide one. None of the shopping sites should require you to log in just to shop. They should only require it when you check out.

Could be a little glitch where it thought you were asking to modify the file/add?

Terry Reynolds,

Thanks for your reply!

I followed your URL to port forward my 3Com router and reran shieldsup, all ports are now in stealth mode.

This is what makes ABXZone a great place to come to when needing technical assistance!

Thanks again!
