Can the file type font/letter size be changed?

Hello, i don't know if this is in the right category, but the question i have is about file types, to give you an idea of what my problem is, i was trying to upload a picture on a site and i couldn't figure out why it was taking so long, and I'm talking about 10 to 15 mins i would wait to see if it would finally upload, well it never did, so i decided to talk to a tech rep, and she told me to make sure the file type was not capitalized, and low and behold i went to the folder where the pics where, and the file types are all in caps, so this is my question, is there a way that you can change the size of the fonts/letters of file types? the Operating system is Windows XP Pro SP2.

Best way that I can think of is a file renaming utility. I personally use a program called File Renamer 3.0 Unfortunately, their website is MIA... Not sure if they went under or not..

And yes it has an option for lower case, upper case, and proper case.

This software has the same option, and appears very similar to my software. - Even the same name.. This is 3.02 Mine is 3.0. This has an updated GUI, but overall function appears to be the same.

File Renamer - File Renamer Basic - Rename Files - Sherrod Computers

They have a basic edition, not clear as to the restrictions.

The race for quality has no finish line- so technically, it's more like a death march.

Would this work?
A VBScript to rename file and directory names to lowercase
