Is there a way to find info on an IP address ?

I recently launched an online store and I keep seeing the same IP address on my site whenever I login. I know it's not mine ...

I know I can block access to my site but before I do, it would be nice to have more info.

ARIN: WHOIS Database Search

This will tell you who owns the IP address, and contains all of the registrar information for the owner so if it is an ISP for example, you contact their abuse department regarding this individual. An ISP will typically know specifically what customer has used the IP address in question.

I would advise against using any sort of tool that scans the IP address. If you are just gathering DNS information, that is fine, but some ISPs take scanning seriously, and will terminate your service as it is most likely a violation of the service agreement.

In any event, good luck.
