Well, nVIDIA claims a lot. There is a nice gain going from the 7x.xx forceware drivers to the 8x.xx but I'm not really sure the gain comes from dual core support or just driver optimizations. The downside to this is that they introduced a truckload of bugs in all sorts of games.

And I did read some reviews that the doom 3/quake 4 engine is taking some advantage of dual cores.

btw i think the fact that all the new consoles are MultiCore should help spur the development of PC dual core games.

Has Half Life 2 been added to the list? I know it's Fully done in 64bit, it's not just a patch.

Oblivion should definitely be added to the multi-threaded list.

Re: 64Bit and Dual Core Game list

I dont think Ive seen a recent game that hasnt been multi-core optimized, am I wrong? Shouldent game companies strive to take advantage of the (almost everywhere) 64bit processing capabilities?

Re: 64Bit and Dual Core Game list

The first post has been last edited in 2006 (according to the info in the post) so i guess there are more games avialable already. Bioshock and Crysis come to mind, Stalker too.

Greetings

Dru
