| There is a pdf file of the manual on the web somewhere. It is very difficult to find because every website that hosts game manuals has "Removed by request of the Publisher" for the Morrowind manual. It's a 30 Mb pdf file. There is also a very high definition scan of the Morrowind map. Great for zooming in and quest planning. It's a 3 Mb jpg file. |

| That's it. It's 50 pages. Black with gold trim and print. About 4 inches by 7 inches. The full color map of Morrowind is big but folds down to about the same size. It comes with the Game of the Year edition. You gotta have the map!!! |

Yep! That's why you got the big 500 page book too. And even that's not enough. Go to www.elderscrolls.com for more. Especially for how to make specific spells. BTW how far are you on the main Blade quest? See any good ruins lately?

I've been concentrating more on the mage guild quests thus far.

Try to pace them together. A few Main quests and then a few other quests. You do get time off from the Main quest to do other quests. You are told to go do other things while your boss desides what for you to do next. That's the time to do the other quests and side quests. The Main quest will teach you more about what Morrowind is all about. Explore but don't get killed. Did you get the Boots of Blinding Speed yet?

| Only thing is...when you put them on you go blind. You have to have some resist magic items (armor, rings, etc...) to negate the blindness effect. If you can build yourself up to 75% resist magic that should be OK. 100% is better. That was you can use them with no sight penalty. |

| Bretons automatically resist 50% blindness. You can use them fine. My character is Breton. Page 202; the Gnaar Mok quest. You'll be glad you went there. |

| Weird morrowind issue Hi everyone i too bought the game of the year edition and i got the fat goty guide however i got some major problems. The main quest dude told me that i have to join a guild etc before he can continue to tell me what to do next so i joined the mage guild and have already done all the quests by the cat looking lady (the one who asks you to sabotage the experiment of her competitor) I've explored lef and right and killed anythign that moved but I AM STILL LEVEL 1. My skills are going up i got a bit of cash but my level is half way to level 2 and it won't move. What am i doing wrong? Any help with this woudl be greatly appreciated. Thanks Mameluke

When you right click to see you inventory and everything, if you hover over "level" it shows you how far you have increased toward the next level. You have to get 10 points and I think you have to get those points from your major or minor skills. Have you joined the thieves guild? There are some quests there that helped me....also, if you just jump a lot...even off buildings you get acrobatics skill....if you get hurt just rest until healed. Also...I fought a few guys, but in the 2nd theives guild quest I had to get they key from this dude....but book said try not to kill him......so I fought him hand t hand....it took forever, but I just kept working at it fighting him....and got my hand-top-hand skills from 7 up to 26 or so. Also...get some more mage guild quests from the lady in Al'Durhn or whatever it is. It took forever to get to level 2, but got to level 3 in probably a few hours. NOW....for MY QUESTION.....I'm out at a dungeon/fort called Marandus...kind of East of Balmora....books says lots of baddies and goodies in here. I am only level 3 right now...am I in over my head or should I keep working at trying this place?

You're going to have to level up thise combat skills somehow and this would be one way to do it. What I did was to read the guide and pick those targets that looked easiest in my area of operations and work on those until my skills were high enough to take on the bigger, badder and richer targets.
