Morrowind is great game. It certainly doesn't hold your hand the same way oblivion does. The graphics were stunning at the time. But they should still be good.

And you can fly!

That's for sure- which is why in some technical respects a better game than Oblivion (and I loved Oblivion- still playing it!). Morrowind is simply a great computing experience if you are a fan of CRPGs.

My longest Morrowind session was about 32 hours before I shut it down for "that day".

Morrowind was a great game. (Maybe I said that in this thread already. ) Anyway, anyone who hasn't played it should. It took me forever to play though--I recall over 200 hours.

I don't know about you, but I became a wee bit obsessed with the game.... I bought the guide and was hell-bent on completing just about anything that could been done....

The only thing that relieved that particular obsession was... (wait for it).... Oblivion! But that's a subject for another day!

I did do a lot of the quests, but I am pretty sure I did not do them all. I did not use a walkthrough either, except for one quest where I could not determine what was expected of me. (As it turns out, the quest was broken as a result of completing another unrelated quest "out of order.") Among those I know I did not complete included one where I ran into some magician in a cave early in the game that I could not beat. I always planned to go back and kick his tail at a later date, but I never could find the cave again. I guess when you get down to it, that is one of the really great things about Morrowind. It played more like "real life" (where a task does not wait for you forever).

Although I loved Oblivion, I never got the same "feel" out of it that I did out of Morrowind. The only game I recall that came close was "Two Worlds." Although not that successful commercially, I thought the role playing in that game was truly excellent and not as restrictive (for lack of a better word) as it was in Oblivion.

I understand exactly how you feel about the different "feel"... It's different, yet strangely familiar.

I have it in a box waiting for me... How long was the game? Trying to figure out if I should make the commitment to Fallout 3 GOTY or some other games first...
