Check out the King Kong demo !

What a great demo, this looks like being an excellent game.
I dont know how true it will be to the movie, but I expect it will be pretty close.
This demo is short, but verrry sweet.

Very nice graphics and fast paced action.
Heavily scripted, but it seems to work well in this style of game play.
One of the very few games where I like having the background music on as I play.

Looks like there's some interesting special effects there.

And heck, I'm a sucker for big scary dinosaurs ever since I played Carnivores II

Check it out.

Re: Check out the King Kong demo !

Just a heads up for anyone who may be interested; this game (and probably the demo) is not compatible with Vista 64.

The StarForce DRM drivers corrupt on installation and hose the users system without any warning. System restore fixed this when it happened to me, but there are no guarantees that would always work.

To be fair, Vista is not listed as supported.

I cant say how Vista32 would go with it...

Re: Check out the King Kong demo !

Ah, Peter Jackson's King Kong. When it was new, I got it as a present. Played it about half way through and lost interest. Controlling your character is not bad, but controlling Kong (which you get to do as the game goes along) is not intuitive or pleasant. There are also some scripted sequences for which there is only one way through an area (such as when you have a Tyrannosaurus chasing you, which happens at least a couple times). These amount to "run here and jump over that" solutions that may appeal to the arcade gamer, but perhaps not to a FPS or TPS fan.

Oh it had some good moments. But, like you, i only played a little over half of it. Wanted to see it in widescreen...

I think it helps if you are still awe-inspired by dinos... like me...
Those suckers lived for over 650 million years... we're like babies compared to that...
