| just finished re-playing the game again...nobody with top of the line hardware can hate this game...I don't think there is a video card out yet that can handle the final carrier level even on 'High' settings with decent frame rates...my 8800GT was hurting during the carrier battle against the squids and especially when fighting the last 2 bosses...but damn that was fun...so much crazy stuff happening with killer graphics ![]() ![]() ![]()

| I get excellent frame rates all the way through...except the final carrier level...you still getting 50 FPS when fighting that last boss on the ship?...I must go down to like 15 FPS during that battle or maybe even less with my 8800GT

| Crysis- Warhead On Monday, developer Crytek announced it would no longer be developing Crysis (PC) patches for "a good reason" that it hoped to say more about "in the very, very near future." Apparently, the "very, very near future" meant two days. The official Crysis website has now been updated with a teaser image for Crysis- Warhead, presumed to be the next entry in the sci-fi shooting series... | Patch 1.2 is actually really good and performance is excellent...no patch is going to make Crysis playable for everyone unless you have a high end video card...the real 'Patch 1.3' will be when ATI/Nvidia release their new high end cards this summer...maybe then Crysis and "Ultra High" settings can be a reality for a lot of people I wonder how far along they are indevelopment for Crysis- Warhead...will it be an expansion pack or full game...I'd bet on it being a full game as Crysis is moving away from the 'PC exclusive' format...that also will probably make the system requirements a lot more manageable for the majority of gamers out there Crysis is still a thing of beauty and maybe the last of the super high end graphics titles for a long time

| Crysis: Warhead details Electronic Arts and CryTek have finally revealed some preliminary information on the recently announced Crysis: Warhead...It turns out that rather than the next game in the series, Crysis: Warhead is a standalone expansion pack for the original game which, much like the original Half-Life expansions, will tell the same story as the original game but do it through the eyes of another character. In this case, that character is the British Sergeant, Psycho. The expansion will feature new weapons and vehicles over the original Crysis and will be the first game to be released from CryTek's Budapest studio, who are also aiming to introduce new multiplayer content to the game. Expected to hit shelves this Autumn, CryTek has also confirmed that Warhead will be a PC exclusive title, despite rumours that a console release was also planned. "With Warhead, we are focusing on refining our storytelling and game performance, while also delivering more of the visually stunning graphics and immersive, free-roaming gameplay everyone loved in Crysis," said Cevat. **Wow, interesting...it's an expansion pack...and it's another PC exclusive...too bad it's not a continuation of the Crysis trilogy...instead they are copying the Half Life: Blue Shift etc approach...is the expansion going to require the same top of the line hardware to run?...lets see if it actually makes its Fall 2008 release schedule Psycho did disappear for awhile during Crysis so it shouyld be interesting to see what he was up to during the events of the original game

| Crysis Warhead First Look We go to Budapest to check out Crytek's action-heavy follow-up to Crysis... IGN: Crysis Warhead Preview "In many ways Warhead is a different game than Crysis. The easiest way to think of Warhead is that it is Crysis with the action ramped up to 11." "Crytek's programmers have spent the last year optimizing and tuning the engine to improve both performance and visuals. For example, Warhead will introduce a new particle system as well as a new global ambient lighting system that boosts the image quality "at almost no performance cost" according to Yerli. Some before-and-after shots show off the new level of detail now achievable, right down to being able to see the grain in a wood plank or pores in human skin. "This is being done in DirectX 9," Yerli noted, which is good news for those who haven't or are unwilling to upgrade to Windows Vista and DirectX 10" "The Crytek team wants to dispel the myth that Crysis or Warhead requires a high-end, expensive system to play. So they ran the Warhead demonstration on a $652 PC built with parts purchased online. Performance was astonishingly smooth and fluid even with a high level of graphical detail"

| Re: Crysis Crysis singleplayer is ok and i like new games, but Crytek screwed with their customers. The patch wasn't supposed to fix some performance issues, hell the game runs perfect on my brothers 700€ rig @ Ultra High (XP though). The patch was supposed to fix the incredible amount of game breaking multiplayer bugs, cheats and imbalancing in the game! They promise epic multiplayer battles on the game cover, but when i get in game i find myself surrounded by cheaters, they are everywhere, cheating in crysis is easy as launching the game (Punkbuster or not). Ppl flying around, running at the speed of sound, punching tanks to death and jumping like the incredible hulk... Air vehicles are...insane...they fly like some sort of alien spaceship that ignores gravity with instant acceleration, are faster than missiles and dodge them 95% of the time. Moreover it takes like 2 or 3 missiles to get them down... AA vehicles are so ineffective against them that ppl rely on using TANKS to get choppers and VTOLs down! And that is just one of the many imbalanced weapons in game. The sound-loop bug, mouse-cursor bug and the kicked-for-no-reason bug don't happen all the time, but added to the rest of issues are enough to keep you from having fun most of the time. Crytek joined EA games and this is what we've got...now to fix this we'll have to pay another 50€... They complain about piracy...Warhead probably is their way to make up the economic loss due to piracy. Think about it, the best candidate for piracy is a singleplayer game, crysis could be considered a singleplayer game (since it's multiplayer part is just horrible). What do you think...will Warhead be different? I bet not, from what they are telling us it's a new singleplayer campaign with 2 new weapons and 2 new vehicles...dejavů? I was dumb enough to think crysis would become the new star in the multiplayer sky, something is telling me i'm wrong lol

| Crysis Warhead Preorder Crysis Warhead preorders are now being accepted at The EA Store, confirming the recently revealed $29.99 price point for Crytek's upcoming first-person shooter follow-up... Crysis Warhead® $29.99?...I would have liked a $19.99 price point better
