| Re: Crysis Man, your description of the place just put a smile on my face. I feel like playing it all over again now. The aesthetics of the AA mission are particularly amazing. The water, the sunset, the sky, the jets, the whole atmosphere is both electric and yet calming. I love the colours they've used and the contrasts. Bright and dark at the same time. Sinister, yet beautiful. Loud, yet quiet. Love it.

| Re: Crysis Those sounds are just there so you hear them from a distance.Just added stuff to make it more creepy. There is no one there, unless you missed a guy someplace. But if they are all dead. Then go download the info.Don't forget to cloak in areas your not sure about.Look around and then make your move.

btw, this Assault level is really a lot of fun. Many enemies and opportunities for stealth which I always enjoy. Destroying the cruiser is fun. There are a lot of failings in the game which is just a shame. Mostly the combat AI. They dont duck for cover enough. They dont use nades in situations that demand them. They dont use squad based tactics (despite all the chatter). Flanking is non-existant (they just patrol on a set path and areas). The scripted sequences are wide open for alternative attacks once you know them. The suit is a major cheat. Very challenging to play without using its features (like cloak, speed, strength). The game inherited that Far Cry weakness where the NPC's would just continue to file through a doorway so you could pop them one by one (once again squad based tactics would help here).

I like to avoid the obvious way I'm meant/expected to go and find alternatives just to seek out these aesthetically pleasing spots.

| Re: Crysis Well, I've enjoyed replaying the game ... until I got to the final level on the carrier. I had expected that after all this time the memory leaks were corrected... but nooo, system crashed down to single digit FPS and even blue screened at one point. I started to tweak and then I remembered that the final level is not very interesting anyway so dropped out. Going to try some Warhead next.

| Re: Crysis oh yeah, the last level was woefully slow. worse than 1 FPS at some places. I thought my machine wasn't able to handle it or something. But then it ran the rest of the game so well. So it suffers memory leaks? The same is true for EA's Generals Zero Hour. It begins to get really slow when a large number of enemies face off and eventually crashes. And yeah, the last level wasn't particularly interesting. Warhead is fun fun fun all the way. Fast-paced and interesting right from the beginning. Love the punchy soundtracks all the way.

The only negative thing that persists with the Crysis games for me is that they feel much more "corridorish" than Far Cry ever did. Just feels like we are being led down that one long way corridor when Far Cry gave a much more convincing feeling of being open ended.

Far Cry 2 was really cr*p... I mean I tried to like it, I really did... but I ended up uninstalling it after about the 20th road block firefight... and I was really disappointed at the lack of animal life... mostly nothing. Life is too short to play games like Far Cry 2 when you have STALKER or Fallout 3
