| Crysis DX9 vs. DX10 Comparison Screenshots here is an excellent article showing you screenshot comparisons between DX9 vs DX10...also there are screenshots showing you the visual differences between the different 'Detail Levels'--Low vs Medium vs High vs Very High inCrysis - Guide to the game Crysis - DX9 vs. DX10 Comparison Screenshots DX10 actually shows some promise with Crysis and you can notice some nice differences compared to DX9...although in the 'Detail Levels' the difference between 'High' (DX9) and 'Very High' (DX10) is not that major **the sand looks so realistic in those 'Detail Levels' screenshots (under 'High' and 'Very High') ![]()

| I think my current rig will run Crysis fine on 'High' settings...'Very High' might have to wait for Vista 64 bit + DX10 video card + Penryn/Barcelona CPU...I wouldn't even want to bother playing it if I had to run it using 'Low' or 'Medium' settings...it's not worth it based on the screenshot comparisons

| Re: Crysis I think your in great shape. I looked at some screenshot comparisons myself and while I seen differences, they were not startling at least for DX9. My concern would be FPS's. Either way, I think my card will be fine even though I may have to tweak down a bit.

inCrysis - Guide to the game Crysis - DX9 vs. DX10 Comparison Screenshots DX9 is an excellent option if you are able to get it to play at least on 'High' Quality

| Re: Crysis Thanks, much better link than what I had. Yes I see the differences clearly now. Still not dramatic enough for me to spend $500.00 for a 640M GPU. I believe some of this is spin between the software and hardware folks.

| That is a good DX9 vs DX10 comparison. I actually like the DX9 screenies better. Except for one. The trees on the mountain do look good vs the green mountain screenie. But that was called a distance tweak in Oblivion. ![]() |
