Re: Dead Space (PC)

Not in earnest polony, I will, but it may take me a bit to get into it...does not grab my attention so far. TBH. I have been very much into Retro gaming lately...playing titles I missed that are considered classics...and running them at hi res on a 64 bit OS has been a blast! Running "Planescape Torment" atm @ 1280 x 800 (highest res I could find a widescreen GUI mod for), but the hand painted 2D backgrounds scale beautifully on my 22", so pixellation not really an issue. The Artistry is quite nice and the black sense of humor reminds me of the first two Fallouts.

read an article recently which stated that this is a major reason why game piracy is so high nowadays

Makes sense to me, why shell out $$s for a game that may not even work well on you system - never mind that you may not like it.

Pffttt... whatever. If game devs continue the current trend, they will kill high end PC games, and thus kill off the need for many high end PCs, which will mean no development and marketing help from ATI or nVidia. Stoopid, they are going to send a multi-billion dollar industry up in:

I don't think game demos are why People steal game software. If anything it sells the product. Now if they get thier hands on the full game and pirat that.

I think it was meant that the utter lack of game demos being available contributed to piracy.

Wingit: Here is a link to a widescreen GUI that supports 1280x800,1280x768, and 1280x1024.

The Codex Forums :: View topic - GhostDog's Planescape: Torment UI mod v1

You should also look into this "mod & tweak" pack (Qwinn's PS:T Tweak pack):

Qwinn's PS:T Tweaks -> Planescape: Torment -> Other Infinity Engine Mods -> Downloads
It does nothing but improve upon what I consider one of the BEST cRPGs ever... Planescape:Torment!!

Re: Dead Space (PC)

thanks mindx2...using them already , I love the Fallout style humor...where else would you have a disembodied skull with a sexual yen for zombie females as a companion?

btw, using the widescreen gui on top of this hi res mod for infinity engine games - G3: Widescreen Mod
