| Re: GOG.com - Good Old Games I did the same thing as you. Also bought Lionheart - another rpg that I missed. Supposedly the first half is much better than the second. Download the file, double click it, installs drm free. No glitches so far! Hopefully other publishers will see the early success and get on board. |

| Re: GOG.com - Good Old Games Just saw this thread and signed up for the beta about 3 hours before it closes. I saw MDK on there and almost crapped myself. I LOVED that game!

| Re: GOG.com - Good Old Games There is a reason Fallout series is regarded as classic, gameplay so far is very good...I've fired up Fallout2 and have just begun traveling the fallout world and I am constantly laughing at the wry and bone-dry sense of humor of the developers...this certainly looks like a great time-sink. Running it with latest user-made patch (killap's 1.2.25) from NMA site(No Mutants Allowed)and resolution patch V 1.7 to play at my desktop resolution (1680 x 1050)...I'm glad my vision is pretty good with a new RX or this res would be a tad trying...screenies follows: ![]() ![]() ![]()

| Re: GOG.com - Good Old Games The Fallout games play are so sublime. So many ways to accomplish things. Awesome use of perks and skills. So many optional parts. Classic. BTW, if anyone missed out and wants an invite to the beta, let me know because I just got a code to give to allow someone to join. |

| Re: GOG.com - Good Old Games I just got Redneck Rampage. The game seems to run fine but I can't handle the default keyboard setup. Dosbox has a keyboard mapper but I can't seem to do what I want with it. I want the left and right arrow keys to be strafe left and strafe right. Not turn left and turn right. RR's default strafe left is ALT+left ARROW and strafe right is ALT+right ARROW. In the original game you could change the arrow keys to be strafe left and right. It looks like I need to map the left arrow key to ALT and left arrow keys at the same time, same for right. Can this be done? If not I just wasted $6.

| that brings up a good question...do the games come fully patched?...or does the customer have to find and install any/all patches?...also if it does come patched do they use only official patches or a combo of official/user mods?

| Re: GOG.com - Good Old Games Any gog dos based game use dosbox and dosbox mapper. The mapper is how you remap your keyboard. From within a game Ctrl+F1 opens the mapper.

| Re: GOG.com - Good Old Games Well I'm ADA. I was using the desktop shortcuts to the game. In the start menu the game has a setup menu you can't get to from within the game. So I got the keys remapped. I wonder what the dosbox key mapper does? the help files are a POS.
