| well they are the rounder looking ones, not like the conventional grooved one. I dont know the name for them but the decriptions for the round ones says that they are more effective over a wide area.....

Defensive grenades = smaller area of effect, but more damage (because they have more splinter) My subjective impression is that defensive grenades are much more useful.

from the ReadMe file: If you have NOT patched to 1.0001 and are still on 1.0000, use the inclusive version below that corresponds to the game SKU that you bought: USA : stk-US-0-3.exe World Wide* : stk-WW-0-3.exe Digital Download : stk-DD-0-3.exe If you have patched to version 1.0001 already, use the incremental version below that corresponds to the game SKU that you bought: USA : stk-US-1-3.exe World Wide* : stk-WW-1-3.exe Digital Download : stk-DD-1-3.exe

| I rarely have issues, and apparently this patch causes one for me. Is anyone else having problems with the correct patch and correctly installed? I cannot start a game or load a supported save. It will stop at synching and this is it. Beyond that the game works. I had a bad feeling about this patch, LOL. Curious where are the save games stored? Edit: Ugh, never mind found them. I am getting seriously tired of these games placing my data where ever they please. The files are located in: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\STALKER-SHOC\savedgames Last edited by shaihulud; 05-10-2007 at 11:19 PM.. |

Maybe you had a bad download? As far as performance goes, I dont notice any change. I've started a new game on Veteran. I'm finding that I'm getting through it a lot faster this time. Probably because I know what I'm doing now instead of wandering around lost in Cordon. These bandits are no problem, but the army is proving to be difficult. I've got very little ammo and my suit is rubbish. Think I'll head off to the Garbage and get some better gear. Anyone else playing at this point?
