The only thing is maybe you accidentally killed a Duty member somehow in Yantar? They do have Duty down there protecting the scientists.

I might go back a couple of saves and see if I can fix it.

| I used the GP37 through most of the game, but the FT200M was my rifle of choice. I found it to be extremely accurate when the target is at a very long range. It was the same at short too. Funny thing, did you guys know you can change the zoom on the nocs? Usually, I use the scope on a rifle for my area of control rather than the nocs. Incidentally, I was curious and used the mouse wheel. It was a little surprise; I was controlling the zoom. |

But maybe I didn't train enough with it.... For really close in---I actually liked the Tunder S-14 I would have liked to see the same zoom capability with the nocs applied to the Draganav or other snipes----just makes sense to have a higher power scope on those....

The FT 200M did a lot more damage than the GP 37. Both the Gauss and the FT 200M weighed a heck of a lot tho.

| The Dragonav was my favorite sniper rifle, but dropped it for the guass later on in the game of course. What I think I found is the scope itself was either a higher power or lesser power, but I would have liked to had a zoom feature too. I found the FT200M to have a very tight spread. Even with bursts the pattern was tight. When engaging in full auto the burst it still tight and goes straight up with very little deviation. I found it was very easy to compensate with the mouse. Not that I had a hard time with any of them really, but little attributes I felt. The damage was lethal with one shot always taking the opposition down at very long range even. The patches have made the guns different. So, I am commenting from my experience of a unpatched game. Not sure how it is with the patches. Last edited by shaihulud; 05-16-2007 at 11:19 AM.. |

| I know people will laugh at me, but I found the Vintar BC the best sniper rifle. You do not have to do that much of long distance sniping, the Vintar does not alert every one to your position, you can fire several shots in quick succession, a hit with the sniper ammo is a one shot kill even agaisnt armored enemies, it is lightweight, and it shares its ammo with the Thunder S14. The Gauss should be removed from the game. This is not Half-Life 2, we do not need no dirty SF weaponry.

This whole "friends" thing is implemented in a disappointing way. What is the point of giving an NPC a medpac to make friends with him if the only change is that he shows up on the minimap as a green instead of a yellow dot. He should at least show in his dialogue that he his happy to see you again, offer some extra information, trade at better prices, or just show up at the bar for a round of ![]()

That's why. Something you did got back to Duty. And they didn't like it. Try going back to a save prior to doing any jobs or missions for Freedom. ![]() __________________ Visit and chat with the Buds at the #ABxZone channel on EFnet Internet Relay Chat If you don't have it then download mIRC from www.mIRC.com

Odd thing is though...I met up with some Duty guys while walking back from Yantar early on in my Yantar missions. They didn't shoot at me then. That was before I installed the latest patch. I wonder if that had anything to do with it. This behavior is the only thing that's disturbed my immersion factor in the game.
