I dont expect any trouble in Yantar as I'm friendly with Duty and I have the GP 37 to handle any bandits or zombies.

Once I get to Pripyat I'm going to try a lot of things, but I dont think I will bother with the exo again until the NPP, it just too limiting.

Sounds like you haven't yet found the free RAD suit hidden in the Bar area yet.

I don't remember which one was in the hidden stash in the Bar area. But it was free for the talking. And it was an anti-radiation suit.

Well I'm having lots of problems with stutter in Pripyat. I dont remember having this issue the last time I played this level, but nothing has really changed on the system since then.
If anyone has a solution please tell.

Pripyat always ran smooth for me.

I have two saved games for Pripyat and I've played both of them a few times. No problems. One save is where you meet "the gang" when you first enter Pripyat and do the gang street roving thing, and my other save is in the secret stash hotel room. Never had any problems firing up these saves and going to the NPP.

It seems to only happen in certain places on the map. I tried turning down some video options like texture detail, distance and ligting but doesnt seem to make any difference. It will just start stuttering every few seconds until I move away from the vicinity of that spot.

This map is awesome. Its huge with lots to explore.

I love sniping in Pripyat. But you gotta be careful. The AI will track you down when you make your presence known.

I cleared out every enemy in Pripyat during my first run through...makes exploring the city a lot easier...Pripyat has a lot of snipers hidden on the rooftops...musta been like 7-8 snipers

as for those soldiers worshiping the Monolith statue...I killed them all as well---with my knife...no gunshots during that massacre

Yeah, and a few guys on the ground camping as well.
Heh, I snuck up behind this guy while he was hunched down behind some concrete looking the other way and put my GP37 to his head and pulled the trigger, only to hear a "click" and get told my gun had jammed! He heard it too, turned around and sprayed me wildly with his rifle. Needless to say I went down. Heh, way cool.

This is an interesting map, its very big with lots of nooks and crannies to explore, but it seems to me the player can get easily pushed onto the NPP without having had a chance to explore the whole thing, which seems a waste. Looks like they wanted this to be very fast moving map, lots of confusion and firefights for the player and keep the momentum going, but its just too nice a map to rush through.

I wish they had put more enemies on the ground too, another 50 or so would have been nice!

One "problem" with Pripyat and exploring is the radiation.

Yes it is a great level for exploration but I wish I could spend more time in the western buildings before I have to rush out and recover.
