You don't have to touch your client.cfg file at all for setting up the switches. Which directory is your folding program located in? Did you download the link file? If so, right-click on the file and go into properties. If you are using C:\FAH then the shortcut link should work. If the directory is not C:\FAH then edit the shortcut link by changing the Target and Start in information. Or you can post here the location of your folding directory and I will create you a shortcut link that will for you.

OK PR,
Here it is "C:\My Documents\Downloads\Folding Monitor\FAH3Console.exe" this is the target in my Startup folder.
Thanks,
Mike
BTW This is not the folder that has the work folder.

Make sure the shortcut doesn't have quotes around the path/.exe

Mine would be

C:\FAH\FAH3Console.exe -advmethods -forceasm
Not:
"C:\FAH\FAH3Console.exe" -advmethods -forceasm

I noticed, when you leave the quotes on the shotycut to the console, it just flashes really quick?

That happens to be the way I have my shortcut set-up that people can download. However, I can get a shortcut to work using quotes. The quotes are needed if there are spaces in the directory, if there are not spaces then the quotes may confuse the OS. Maybe?

OK, try this one.

Save it to your Desktop. BTW: This one actually has the quotes around the path but I tested it on my 'puter and it worked. However, I'm using XP Pro.

Where's the FAH3Console.exe file located? When you downloaded the link file, did the red gear appear with the shortcut or was it a ugly little window?

When I downloaded the link file I got a generic exe window. FAH is located here "C:\My Documents\Downloads\Folding Monitor\FAH3Console.exe"

Make a shortcut to

C:\My Documents\Downloads\Folding Monitor\FAH3Console.exe -advmethods -forceasm

With NO quotes!
