AGH! Working on a sig and the color scheme (the banner on top) is hard to add color too. UGH! Tried to add orange, let alone any other complementary color and it comes off garish. Grrr!

Here's an example of what I'm working on...

It's just a rough layout but it shows the logos I'm working on and concept. Still have a lot to do with it, especially the background (will try to make it look more industrial, considering this is a hardware forum).

What do you think? Suggestions?

Sweet

One thing. If you want that dynamically generated it can't do anything fancy with the text like that shadow under the user name. Ok two things. Some team data would be nice

Thinking of just making the name non dynamic, that way it'll standout (takes but a minute to change and save the sig, as with ImageStyler text can be changed on the fly). That background color makes it really difficult to add text without some highlighting and shadow. :/

Point taken on the ABX.com folding totals. Still experimenting with the text size. Don't want to use pixel fonts as they're 10px and difficult to read ( the sig will have to act like an advertising banner, so readibility is important). Trying to figure out the best size/readable font but still conserve real estate.

When finished It'll be the best looking folding sig bar none (eat that competitors!). :P

Update: Been working on the banner all this time, and finally down to the last elements. It'll be radically different from the example above, with richer detail -- mega pixel work. Tried using the above color scheme, but it just doesn't do justice to multiple colors.

Because of all the data requested, and at a resolution that's readable, the sig size will be l-o-n-g. Currently it's around 600x90. Been spying other FAH banner sizes from around the net, so the size is in keeping with the rest. Unfortunately at that length there's no way to make the file below 10KB, it'll be more like 18KB to 24KB.

The design looks like a cross between a game menu and futuristic pc monitors. Rich in detail that can be appreciated even zoomed at 10x.

Color scheme is blue/gray/white/copper/helix spectrum colors (close to the logo banner colors as possible, yet more intense). Background image can be made in many colors (looks great in reddish orange and the default dark and light blue, for example).

Redone the ABX logo to keep with the FAH theme -- it now supports a helix directly in color, and can double as the ABX F@H logo. Extended, the sig image can serve as a leaderboard banner, as well (great for stats pages). Let me know if you want it @ 728x90 for that purpose.

Now to finally finish the banner........

Talking

For those just BURNING to know how the sig looks like, here's a layout (right now trying to get the background image scaled to fit both screens -- still have lights and other jazz to add to it). Shows proof of concept, and includes a 6x and 3x zoom photos of the images.

It is messy, but that's how layouts are and why artists hide such things.

I think you asked me to do something with the fonts but I never did. This is what they look like now.
