This folding stuff is fun. Between playing Yahoo Hearts and checking on the stats for ABX folding there is not much time for work.

Will try to add two more machines to our folding effort.

I'm usually not one to toot my horn because I'm not doing anything special... I just have access to more machines than a vast majority of people do. HOWEVER, I'm making an exception!!

5100 pts day, and 4th highest producer in the world right now!!

wow, looks like 25 p4 1.8 running Gromacs = about 2000 points per day.. Hmm. Maybe I can find 20 p4's at work? I may be able to get it to work behind our proxy and firewall.. I will know tommorow. Maybe I can add 20 p4s to the mix,,, Shhh.. its a secret..

Supster,

All my work machines are using a proxy box that I have setup that dials out to the net to send/receive wu's. Only way I could avoid my work firewall issues. I use WinProxy, only thing that was tricky for me was the proxy box I use needed two network cards, one for each segment of our network, in order to handle requests for each segment. WinProxy doesn't work well between segments. Easy to setup, if interested let me know.

Well it appears that it is working. It did not in the past, be we have a whole new set of network guys working here now. I have it set up as a service now on two ~2.0 gig and my p3 1133 mhz. I am not the admin, but the admin trusts me like one and regularly gives me admin access to the boxes to fix them. It will take me a while, but I should be able to at least set up 3 or 4 more 2.0 gig p4 running gromacs.. Should be enough for at least 600 ppd..
