| Competition is stiff, and has gotten stiffer, and in 6.3 days we'll drop another spot on the folding list. STAT: We need more folders!! If you have folded before and tire of how long it takes, Folding@Home now offers beta GPU clients for those with the latest videocards. GPU WUs offer more points, and those with newer Nvidia cards, can pump out about 6,000 to 12,000 PPD (Points Per Day). ATI HD38xx and HD48xx users can contribute about 2,000 to 4,000 PPD (until the new ATI GPU client is released, and then they will match the Nvidia folders in production). It's a GREAT time to fold, as the beta clients offers more points, and you'll rise a heck of a lot faster than churning CPU WUs. As you can see in my sig, my stock rig with an ATI HD4870 has already nearly 3K of points in 24hrs. It's soooo simple to install the GPUv2 client, and it works even on Vista x64. Just install, add your name, the team number -- 1714 -- and you're on your way! Grab a GPUv2 client from my sig to match your videocard, and give it even a 4hr tryout. You'll be impressed how fast the WUs finish now, and how fast you'll get to the top of ABX's team roster, too!!!! FOLD for Team 1714 today!

| Re: WE NEED FOLDERS!! -- In 6.3 Days we'll be #30!! I'm folding just as fast as I can! Unfortunately I can't run the GPU client on my older card and I haven't had much success with the 6.xx versions of the SMP client.

| Re: WE NEED FOLDERS!! -- In 6.3 Days we'll be #30!! Running Windows 7 now and haven't tried them. They both were troublesome in XP Pro. I believe they're meant for quads but I only have a Core 2 Duo and it ran the 5.92 version really well.

| Re: WE NEED FOLDERS!! -- In 6.3 Days we'll be #30!! I think you'll need to go with the MPICH version for Win7 as that is the one that works best with Vista. Now that Quad cores are more prevalent, the core has been optimized for Quads and doesn't do as well on dual cores as it used to.
