Well, the heat is impossible (they have locked the thermostats in my student flat). The poster is actually a really good idea, and the drinks I can fix also. The party would require me to have friends, which I don't.
Good suggestions though, must look into that after finals.

Sorry man, I just couldn't resist. Feel free to do the same thing to me if the opportunity should arise...

I've heard a funny thing about the heating in the student flats here. There were some students that a few years ago complained that it was too cold in their rooms, and that they couldn't do anything about it because of the locked thermostats. Then some clever soul thought about using the oven. They set the thing at 60C and left the oven door open. It took one day, and then a guy from the company that own the flats came wondering why electricity consumption suddenly was a lot higher than normal...

The remnents of Hurricane Olga came through South Florida yesterday morning. Lots of sloppy rain, but no wind. By the afternoon, it was all sunshine. 75 to 79 degrees F. Same today. All sunshine. 75 to 79 degrees F. No sandstorms.

Big turnaround last night. After 73F on Thursday, its snow today. Now that looks more like Christmas to me. Our dog is all happy, she loves the snow.
