Thumbs up

Good read, a little heavy in parts but it's the first full "systematic presentation" of Objectivism.

Nice idea for a thread, BTW! :wave2:

I love her fiction, but from what I "get" of her philosophy from her fiction stories, I don't think I'd agree with it. After I read "Atlas Shrugged", I got the impression she'd make Ronald Reagan look like a liberal!

I figured it would be a good way to get an idea on what to read next. I dunno about you, but I tend to read alot and I usually stick in the same genres of Fantasy, Sci Fi, Thrillers and some non fiction works(Hot Zone, Demon in the Freezer, and Biohazard). This way I can get some new idea's for books to start stocking up on. Happy Reading!

I have a safari account so I'm rather loaded with books without having to own the books a place on the shelf. Unfortunately the Software Design Patterns is not on the safari list.

Too bad because that book is to Software Design Patterns what the K&R book is to C programming!

Looks like it's time for a bookpool purchase.
I normally prefer bookpool over Amazon for tech books.

LOL. I still think that when Maxim magazine did the Crash Test dummy guide to Kama Sutra that it was one of the best magazines ever.
