well Uma is in both so im ok with it... but i thought Kill Bill 2 was much better than both those films since in the end you actually cared for Beatrix Kiddo me thinks that deriving an emotional response from a film (and the main character) is far more important than cool fight scenes or lots of blood.... but thats just me

| I just saw Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind last night and I am always surprised what Charlie Kauffman gets away with because the film is so inventive and disjointed and surreal that it should be at the most in limited release. Its also fun and brilliant and it made me feel pretty lonely as only a really thoughtful film can, which is exactly what its supposed to do. I also saw this movie called God is Brazillian, which was farcical and "typically Brazillian" whatever that means. But that was in a film festival.

| Man on Fire Well I'll have to add another vote for Man on Fire. Even my wife who is a bit squemish and not too big about violence loved the movie. I think that when you come out of a movie like that and it has created such overwhelming emotions, then the director and actors have done a great job. I thought the story of redemption folowed by an equally fleshed out story of payback was just imensly well done. I'd definately drop 10 bucks to watch it again in a heart beat. Reminded me a bit of 8mm. This is not a kids movie though, please don't do like the jackass sitting by us did and bring a 10 year old kid to the theater, this is a grown up movie with grown up issues in it. Sheesh!

| Fargo Saw Fargo for the first time last night... Highly dissapointing. I didn't know anything about this movie other than it was set in North Dakota and won numerous awards for being so good. Bah... I don't know whether this being a True Story helped it or ruined it. Either way it didn't amount to much... "Jerry Lundegaard's inept crime falls apart due to his and his henchmen's bungling and the persistent police work of pregnant Marge Gunderson." That is about all you need to know... no mystery, no suspense, no twists. Frances McDormand was cute in it though... BJB |

Yes, for some reason Frances McDormand was quite appealing even though she was supposed to be pregnant and had an annoying accent. | |

| After Hours It's by probably my favorite living director, Martin Scorsese, and is highly acclaimed. It was very well done, funny at times and very unique, but a little too bizarre for my taste. I'm not one for movies that are weird simply for the sake of being weird. |
