My brother's friend brought over Ravenous. At first I thought I was going to like it. I mean Guy Pierce AND Robert Carlyle in the same movie? It started out good - interesting, innovative and kind of scary. It looked to even have some character development.

But suddenly the writers decided to turn it into a slasher-type bloodfest.

Got bored and watched Dr Strangelove again. Dated but still a hoot. Its worth watching just to see George C Scott's madcap and hilarious performance. What a great movie.

Yes...I should go and watch that again...it's been a while. I love the part with Slim Pickens and the bomb. LOL

Anybody go and see a midnight showing of Spiderman2 yet?

"You ever seen one of those B-52s fly their mission? They get down real low to escape the radar and, a big plane like that, well, it's quite a sight!"

"Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the war room!"

"OK, you can make your call. But if you try any of your preversions I'll blow your head off."

(The last two weren't George C. Scott quotes, but they were great nonetheless.)

LOL. There isn't much of the dialog that isn't memorable.

I like when Slim Pickins is going through the Survival Kit Contents Check. He finds, among other things, lipstick, gold, chewing gum, pep pillls, 300 bucks in cash, and prophylactics. He says, "Shoot, a fella could have a pretty good weekend in Vegas with this stuff."

Ferris Bueler Day Off

...for the 1000 time Possibly the best "school/teen" movie ever

quite a few fight scenes and Spidey gets roughed up pretty good in some parts..but i dont think its anything worse than what happens in the cartoons..no gorey or blood spilling death scenes or stuff like that. It is rated PG-13 though.

I think I'll second that....especially for those of us who were teens/highschoolers in the 80s.

Although....I'd have to put The Breakfast Club at a close second!

I admit that I bought Ferris mainly for the swimmingpool scene with Mia Sera. I admit it openly and without shame.
