Re: What movie did you just see?

Went and saw Iron Man yesterday with my wife and daughter (it was my birthday ).

I am a closet comic book geek who really hasn't liked a lot of Marvel movies made, with the exception of Spider-Man 2 and X-Men 2. Even those movies had flaws and I didn't always feel they took themselves seriously. There was always that "made-for-the-kiddies" feel that seemed to pop-up especially with films like the Fantastic Four (YUCK).

With that said... I LOVED Iron Man!! This was an adult comic book movie that took itself seriously with great humor that was intergral to the movie itself, not slapped on as an after thought to please some focus group movie formula. Robert Downy Jr. IS Tony Stark. There was really good acting by everyone in this movie.

When we left my wife, who has never read a comic book in her life, really enjoyed the whole movie. Even my nine year old Hanna Montana-loving daughter really liked it as well.

I was pleasently suprised and would recommend going to see this movie to all my fellow ABXers!!

I saw this yesterday and really enjoyed it too! Very well done, and the humor, I thought, was spot on!

Of course, my buddy and I were silly enough to leave the theater before the credits were done. Seems we missed a little scene.

Re: What movie did you just see?

I saw Iron Man last night. What a great movie. I went into it with high expectations and it did not disappoint. Robert Downey Jr. was great as Tony Stark. I have to see this again.

I saw The Water Horse with my kids. It is a good, clean, kids flick

Re: What movie did you just see?

"Iron Man"...saw it Saturday...awesome movie. If you haven't seen it be certain to stay for the last scene after the credits. You will geek out.
Later Saturday we also watched "The Last Legion" on DVD with Colin Firth and Ben Kingsley. While it played fast and loose with history it was nonetheless entertaining and beautifully filmed.

A very important little scene it was, too. If you don't know what to what it pertains to send a PM to me and I will detail it for you.

Much appreciated TQ, but I very quickly learned about it online. I'm probably gonna see it again this week.

Re: What movie did you just see?

I wouldn't be surprised if something similar pops up at the end of The Hulk.

Well I understand Tony Stark has a cameo in it. At least, that's what I've read.
