Charlie's war - good flick, very funny. Opening scenes are not kid safe

just saw it as well...brutal movie...very much a 'Hard R' rating...throats being ripped out, arms and legs being cut off, bodies hacked, intestines ripped out, heads being cut off, arrows through the chin, children being raped/killed etc etc

very graphic and brutal killings...about time we see some really hard core kills on the movie screen again...too much PG stuff nowadays...I liked it

Re: What movie did you just see?

We finally got around to seeing Iron Man. Unlike most of the movies based on comic books, it was very good. (The only others that I can think of off hand that were also good for their time were the first Superman movie with Christopher Reeve, and Spider Man I & II.)

It was, and still is, a pretty good movie. I think it was very well done for a movie that is now over 20 years old.

The List

I had wanted to see this since it has one of my favorite actors, Malcolm Mcdowell.

What a disappointment, I couldn't wait for it to be over. Great actors can only do so much with a crappy story.

Is it really 20 years old? I thought it was a lot more recent, then my bad... Seems like a good movie for the time then, I would like to see a more recent remake of it or a sequel.

Well, most Highlander fans would probably tell you to stay away from the sequels, lol. But a remake seems to be in the works: link

I hope they do a good job.
