I thiink there is movement from Sajay to at least make some changes to the front page.....

Oz was working on it.....

Here's my personal desires:

1. Latest Posts thread section back on right side of page
2. A log in location on the front page
3. A Notification that you have a PM on the front page somewhere

The news section is actually quite easy to do and I invite all you guys to become "newshounds" New news of the technical persuasion is one of the lifebloods of this site......

In the last week or so----I thought that all the new articles started to really clean up the front page----and give it some RELEVANCE for a change.

Mine are the same OZ----haven't changed since last week....

And thanks for your efforts to push this.

Top priority----in my book-----is to get the latest posts thread back on the right side of the front page....

At the bottom of this new section (or top) could be a link to what we have now with ALL the latest posts since last visit.....

but when I hit the front page I'd sure like to see the latest of the latest posts right there on the front.....on the right......just like it used to be....

That part drew my attention (and a quick check at the news) more than anything else on the old site......

Here's what I suggested to sanjay about the front page so far - I suggested that since the column on the right looks to be a continuation of the news, so we can leave that alone. The column on the left is an absolute waste...what that is supposed to be doesn't make much sense...but that could be the latest active threads.
I got the folding banner put back, but there is some strange thing going on with this front page software that they are running across the sites. They haven't been able to get the active posts on there without including the posts from the other forums that shouldn't be there...like the mod forums and who knows what else they might have that I can't see.
There has at least been some movement, but you know how corporations are...it takes a bit. With CJ it took a long time too, but when you got his attention he pounded it right out - hacks and all.

You are right----the left side is useless....

Let's fix this

then we can work on other stuff.....

I did some in depth reading on AdSense with Google----and basically how Sanjay or other site owners make money from Google on Advertising

Enlightening....

But what we are talking about is incresing visits and "clickage"----so he profits directly from our efforts....

My guess is that they will be helpful given corporate limitations....

And that we are just one of 30 different sites in CrowdGather.....

But "the squeaky wheel gets the oil" and it never hurts to beg, cajole, or bother either.....

Good to know they are hammering on the "active posts on the Front Page" thing. Very good to know.

Sounds like sanjay knows that the latest active posts really adds that living breathing life and soul to the Front Page.

The most important is the economical crisis cos I work like a slave everyday.
Although I am an Electrical Engineer I work some hours in my farm like a farmer (I live in a small village) to save money....

Great to hear that there's movement on getting the recent posts back on the front page.
I agree with others that the top 3 wishes are, in order of importance:
1. Recent post list (10?), in the format we used to have it.
2. Login
3. Link to an extended list of recent posts (24 hours?) as is currently available via the recent posts link.
