| Hi guys. I'm putting toghether a box for a friend. It's a Chaintech mobo, A64 3000+, running Win98SE. I can install it no probs, but when it asks for timezone, and cofigures control panel and stuff, it just freezes there. I've gone through it like a thounsand times, but no-go, so i'm wondering if Win98 is even compatible with A64s. Anyone? Thanks!

| I can't really see a problem - unless it's dying on some driver that you need (like VIA). If you boot from floppy, format the C: drive, md c:\cabs, xcopy e: <the cab files & setup.exe> to c:\cabs, then cd to c:\cabs and run setup.exe from there, does it work better? (just in case it's the cd). |
