| Well I hope Im in the rite place to post this question but if not then please forward the correct section for me to post at: I am sort of new at computing 1 year but I've really tried to learn alot. As of late I decided to change my Direct X from "DX8.0A" up to "DX8.1b" because Me & My kids wanted to play this game called "VARMITS" so anyhow once done with the download & install, I found that the game ran ok, but when I opened the DXDIAG & selected the disply tab on the top, I no longer had the 3 lil tabs that are normally on that page (test buttons) Well actually 2 of them were there but the bottom one the(agp)test button, it is not there & I would like to learn how to get it back! Why does this happen & why does the other 3 buttons stay (enable/disable)? Does this mean i have agp enabled still but cant test it or does it mean it is not functioning correctly And last but shurly not least could a diffrent driver help get this back up & on the DXDIAG Utilit? PS if there is any inprotant info left out but needed please forgive & understand this is my first post ok im out for now & I'll wait for any help Xproject187 |

| It might help if you list some of the details of your system. Especially which operating system you're using and the video card installed in your system. In any case, you might want to reinstall the most current video driver for your video card.

| Try installing DX9.0b. DX8 is pretty antiquated and you should get better compatability and performance with DX9.

| I had no problem running DX9.a on a win98SE computer. It actually helped a little.
