| Hey all, hope you can help me with a problem I'm having looking up parts at servicehonda.com. Using the Internet Explorer option I don't receive the promp to download their active x control that would allow me to view their parts look up diagrams. I'm using Windows 98SE and Internet Explorer 6.0. I've used an old computer at work that is using the same setup and had no problems. Only difference I can think of is my computer had been kept up to date at the Windows update site and the one at work has'nt. All active x and scripting options in Internet Explorer are the same between the two. Anyone have any ideas? |

| Not sure... maybe it's blocked by somekind of anti-spyware program?

| I.m using Trend Micro Internet sucurity. I've tried disabling that by going into the startup tab in msconfig and unckecking all assoicated entrys and restarting. Got online just long enough to see if that helped, it did'nt. I do have ad-aware and spybot, but I only run the manual scans. Is it possible I'm not truly disabling the internet security program? Anything I need to ckeck with ad-aware or spybot? Thanks for your help. |

| Sandman, go to servicehonda.com and at the top middle of the page click on Genuine Honda Parts Finder. The next screen will show model listing for Pilot/Odyssey, ATV, Off Road and Street/Touring. My model is'nt listed so I click on the red (Improved!! View Every Honda Model from 1959-2006 Click Here) link. On the next page click on the (If you meet the requirements CLICK HERE TO BEGIN using Internet Explorer.) link. The next page is where you should get the prompt to download the active x control. All I get is a page with the server number 69.213.66.54 and the connect button grayed out on the right side of the page. Thanks. |

| I tried it on my WinXP system and I got the yellow bar across the top of my browser to click on and I installed the active x control and it worked perfectly so I then tried my Win98 SE with IE 6 and I have the same problem as you. I see in their write up that you can use any Operating system so if you and I have the same problem I would think others would too and Honda would be familiar with what ever the problem is. I see there is a contact button on their site why not contact them and see if they can help they may provide you with separate link for active x control.
