| I have been trying to get my pc to shut-down to dos and everytime I do I get a funky error and then a bunch of white lines ... The only way to fix it is to reset ... Any ideas what is going on here ??? | It would help if you tell us what that error message is. Anyways, something you could try is to locate the batch file DOSSTART.BAT and right click it and select "Edit". Type in "REM" in front of evey line. See if it will shutdown to DOS mode correctly. If it does, then one of the lines is causing the problem. If it does, start removing the "REM" statements one line at a time and shutting down to DOS mode until you find culprit. Anyways, that is my suggestion, hope it helps. |

| Thanx Guys I found the culprit ....... It seems a certain setting was causing win not to be shut down @ all really.... I had a progy that would not close .. I also installed a patch from M$ for Faster hard drives...
