| I have noticed in about the last 3 weeks or so, that if I browse ABX with my standard custom browser settings (set via PopUpCop), which include cookies disabled, that ABX loads as slow as if I was on dial-up. If I enable cookies it's quick as normal again. I have tested this with several PCs and IE6/IE7. Same deal. Has anyone else seen this? And could admin have a look into it as ABX is the only site affected that I have experienced. Not that I care too much about enabling cookies everytime I drop in to ABX, but I'm curious as to why a 'standard' site like ABX should behave so differently with cookies 'on' or 'off'.

| Re: ABX slow-as when cookies disabled ADD: I have just noticed, that this issue only occurs if I start browsing ABX thru the mainpage link www(dot)abxzone(dot)com - if I start at www(dot)abxzone(dot)com/forums, and navigate from there, all is speedy with/without cookies. Bizarre. ![]()

| Re: ABX slow-as when cookies disabled That does sound weird, the code paths differ but not by much from what I can remember. It shouldn't manifest itself in such a substantial way in any case. I'd suggest trying a different browser (I don't trust the IE family much) with cookies disabled and enabled. If there's no difference there, the problem's definitely on your end. I browse with cookies all the time and have noticed nothing like this. Ever. (Try clearing the cookies, in case there's some corruption that screws with things. Disabling cookies doesn't mean old ones get removed. Although I expect you've tried this already.)
