ADMINS : Private message box

Hey, mods/admins, is it possible to get a larger storage capacity in my private message box? Most of my pm's are fairly valuable and have decent infromation, so I don't want to delete them. I've seen some screenshots of some admins who are allowed crazy amounts of pm's, so is it possible for me to get my cap raised to something like 1000 private messages?

Thanks in advanced .

I'll have to mention this to CJ and see what he has to say.

I'll be moving this to site feedback as well. :wave2:

Thanks . 500 is probably more then enough for users who post here once and a while, but for users like me, stuff flies by quick.

If they were that important to me, I would copy and pasted them into word so they don't get lost ever. Two weeks ago when the site shut down, everyone was all to do about stuff they needed. Seems a pretty easy way to preserve the data.

Saddly I have been here for five years and only have 12 messages in my inbox. I guess I don't have too much to say, and I can usually find what I need already in the forum.

I have 491 pm's now, so I guess half are in my inbox. It'de be very difficult to properly organize it like it is now, and it'de take very long to copy and paste it all properly to make sense.

Plus, it's easier, sometimes when i'm pming, I look back 6 months and bring something that me and somebody else might had spoke about before up.

It would be nice it there was a feature like "forward to email". You could send them to your home email and save them there.

Otherwise cut and paste into notepad, I suppose.

yep download them or just copy past the question with answers in your notepad, in that way you would always have it, and you could send one to your email too

I believe in the minimalist approach... If you get more, you will eventually run out of that room as well. You should learn how to become more organized...

It's called being LEAN... At my work, our work email accounts are only 48 megabytes.. I get on average about 50 emails per day 7 days a week, with many files attached. You learn to keep the stuff that is really important, and manage it.

We always joke that working for the largest computer company in the world that you would think they could afford to give more space. It always goes back to that if they gave us more, we would still have the same problem. The only solution is to either get unlimited space or manage what you got.

Really, what would you do if you could have let's say 100 more emails? Then what? Will 100 more PM's really allow you to manage what you have? I think not.

Absolutely true. I was hoping that they could double the limit, so it would be significant. I could clean it out, but I was looking for an lazy way out of this. I still want to keep a few hundred pms, but I could back them up with some time and effort I don't want to spend I supose. Oh well, I was hoping the admins wouldn't mind granting me it because it's not a big request I think, but I understand if they don't want to.
