I don't mind the ads on top and on the side...but when they start appearing in the middle of the screen and start interfering with browsing is when they become really annoying

*I always turn off the ABX side panels as well but that does not take effect on the ABX front page...those only take effect inside the threads/forums

Have to take your word for it, since I cant even load the home page
I never go there, but for some reason I only get as far as the top left ABXZone logo and then it just hangs. Actually, I dont think I've seen the home page in ages.

Not sure where its coming from....Those of you who see it, do you see it the forums and the front page or just or the other?

that Verizon ad is still here...and I can now say with certainty that it only appears on the ABX front page...it first starts out as a flash ad in the middle of the screen and then it docks on the right hand side of the screen..I have attached another screenshot

it's really annoying cuz I accidently click on the ad sometimes when I am trying to view a thread and it then opens up a new browser window for Verizon

Ads

Been getting these in the past two weeks when ever I hit the back button. Adblock does not seem to stop these. Sometimes it will attach itself on the top of the page as well as the bottom.

We know about that, it's been reported and CJ has tried at least once to stop them. I'm going to merge this into the earlier thread for him to see. It's in the feedback section. polonyc2 posted it, so you should find it easily.

Okay I figured out how they are doing this, only when you first launch your browser and then click on any forum link and then hit the back button ad pops up everytime in FF. But if you enable your adblocker and use the wildcard with *spe. It kills it for good, clicking the adblock does nothing when listing the address. Use your wild card and your all good.

In addition to the Verizon ad on the side I also got a huge pop-up so when I went to ABX I was greeted with this:

I didn't even click on anything though, I just opened up to ABX and was ambushed by ads.
