A couple of minutes ago I emailed a contact at ASUS that their web site is less than perfect .

I think they might listen since I'm part of a small group of people currently evaluating various parts of ASUS's business .

If you have any (constructive) suggestions on how to improve their web site then I'll be happy to pass them on .

Its pretty difficult to offer constructive criticism about something that REALLY sucks!.
I started a similiar thread a few months ago,and clearly things haven't changed much.
I sent an e-mail to ASUS, and got an apologetic response.
So I figured I'd wait a few months and see what transpired.

I'm COMPLETELY dissatisfied with their site, particularly with the elimination of nearly ALL support information & documentation for their "older" motherboards.
There's still plenty of them out there, and they should be PROUD of that!, not trying to hide it , because its "old"!
This shows their product durability, and upgradibility.
(I adapted my old P2B to run an 800 Mhz P3-Celeron), what better tribute to quality and verstility???

Their site BEFORE the revamping was VERY GOOD.
Try doing a search on P2B (one of their reputation-defining products), and you get a "Not found, P2B". How sad.

Tell them to put that stuff back!!!! and not become one of those lame companies that only blows hot air up our respective a@@es about the new and newest.

I know this thing is quite annoying. In fact, I came up short myself yesterday when looking for the CUSL2, which isn't even terribly old .

Still, we should try to discuss it in a civilized way. They are watching online forums like this one and this discussion will have a much bigger impact if we don't just bitch loudly about the web site .

I suggested that if they didn't want the discontinued products with their current productline, then they should place them in a special area for discontinued products. I also mentioned that they should not just remove the information.

A comment like that it's much more helpful to them because it gives them something concrete to start with. Obviously, there are several aspects of their web site that are less than perfect, but the good news is that they do care and that they do want to listen to our suggestions!

So, we'll just have to help them a little with getting this thing fixed. It's OK to vent the frustration (I know that I was pretty ****** about not finding the CUSL2 info!), but constructive suggestions are much much more valuable for obvious reasons.
