Have you changed any security settings in IE?
Perhaps a setting is blocking attachments.

UserCP, Edit Options

under the Miscellaneous Options section, do you have "Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing" selected?

Help! I can no longer see attached images any longer. When I click on the thumbnail to see the images in its full size, another browser instance opens with a blank page. What's going on? I haven't changed anything with my browser settings.

Edit: OK, I can see some attachments, and some I cannot. Here is a post where I cannot see the attachment.

It may be your firewall that stopping them and/or a adware stopping prog.
Me also if I set firewall to stop all ad banners then I can`t see some attachments and that applies to the thread you specified.
Mostly use this setting when entering other than abxzone sites.

I don't know know. I disabled my popup blocker, and shut down my firewall, and I still cannot see some attachments. Other attachments however work just fine. I just noticed this problem recently here. I deleted all my temporary internet files as well. Why are some attachments viewable, and others are not?

Yeah... there are many blank ones on here if you look around. However others load fine. Glad I am not the only one having the problem.

Centurion,I`m not an expert on this but think that it should be based on where the attachment is kept (what kind of server) and how it "gets" on the basic page. That I think is a basic explanation or so.Do you see smilies being animated or just static?

Smiley's are usually animated, depending on which ones they are of course.
